Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA)

Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) is a flagship programme of the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt of India, with the intention to enrich Rural India. The knowledge base and resources of the Premier Institutions of the country are to be leveraged to bring in transformational change in the rural development process. It also aims to create a vibrant relationship between the society and the higher educational institutes, with the latter providing the knowledge and technology support to improve the livelihoods in the rural areas and to upgrade the capabilities of both the public and private organizations in the society.

Dr.Mahalingam College of Engineering and Technology (MCET) is one among the 750 reputed Higher Educational Institutes selected by the MHRD, Govt. of India to carry out the UBA activities in Pollachi region. We have selected the following five cluster of villages under UBA scheme to carry out the rural development activities.

3. Chinnampalayam
4. Unjavelampatti
5. Makkinaickenpatti
