Skill Development Programme – ‘Suryamitra’ at MCET
“Suryamitra” – a skill development program of National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE) in collaboration with State Nodal Agencies, which is sponsored by Ministry of New & Renewable Energy, Govt. of India is organizing at MCET. About 90 students have successfully completed in three batches of 600 hours training each, which is a residential program includes free boarding and lodging.
Arutchelvar Vidya Sakthi Scholarship was launched on 7th February 2016 and its award function was celebrated on 28 March 2016. This auspicious occasion was celebrated in the college premises as a tribute to the great benefactor Arutchelvar in connection with his 93rd birthday celebration. This award seeks to promote, recognize and reward outstanding students for their endless amounts of talent. Arutchelvar Vidya Sakthi Scholarship worth Rs.70 Lakhs will be awarded to 400 deserving students every year. 100 Meritorious students are selected every year in first year engineering programmes and they will be receiving the scholarship as follows:

II year Rs.15,000 each
III year Rs.20,000 each
IV year Rs.25,000 each
