As a Preparatory Centre, our Institution has been successfully conducting Business English Certificate Exams (Preliminary, Vantage and Higher) from 2004-2019 under the British Council

Ms. B. Angeline Margaret, Ms. M. Keerthana and Ms. Arthee C, have attained highest score in BEC Higher and participated in South Asian Best Speaker Award in 2010.

Could I able to train myself on all the four skills by being at home using the Online materials?
• Yes, you could definitely do it, but at the end you have to attach yourself with a consultancy and appear for the exams. Instead of approaching the consultancy at the end, if you link yourself earlier, you could get more materials for your practice, tips and guidance for learning the course.
How many times in a year do they conduct BEC exams?
• BEC is held on various fixed dates in Centre’s worldwide. The tests are available monthly. Candidates must enter through an authorised centre.
Could I enroll myself for Preliminary in June and immediately for Vantage or Higher during the next exam in the month of August or September?
• You need to wait till the result is published. Further, you need to have preparation time before you take up a level.
What is the level that I have achieved in IELTS if I passed my BEC Vantage with 182 marks?
• If your BEC score is 182 then the IELTS equivalent score is between 6.5 to 7.0 band.
Is it beneficial for me to develop my listening skills by tuning in to different news networks and Hollywood movies?
Yes, you could definitely get a good acquisition to listening skills. But as BEC is a Business English Certification, gaining listening practice should be in the area of Business oriented presentations.
