MCET in association with Siemens Industry Software India Pvt. Ltd. (SISW) have set up digital manufacturing skill development facility, an interdisciplinary research centre in the domain of product lifecycle management (PLM).

This centre was established in the year 2013 with the investment of 1.6 Crores contributed by the college and 500 crores worth software granted by Siemens. An exclusive centre that houses Siemens PLM Software Suite for Digital Product Design, Simulation Analysis, Manufacturing and Product Lifecycle Management. The centre helps Faculty, Students and Industry Personnel to gain knowledge and hands-on skill in the field of Product Lifecycle Management with Siemens CAD, CAM & CAE and Digital Manufacturing tools. The Centre focuses on qualitative improvements in Technical Education, improvements in college labs infrastructure. The Centre provides opportunities for skill upgradation of students and faculty members, also helps to update the course curriculum to modern industrial practices and promotion of research and development. The Centre offers the Consultancy Activities to the core industry in solving their design problems in line with their industry best practices. This program helps students to acquire expertise in CAD/CAM/CAE/PLM and Digital Manufacturing softwares which will help them to find employment with top ranking companies that need skilled personnel.
