MCET TUV Rheinland Centre for Advanced Training

(Skill Development Initiative by Dr.MCET, ABT Ltd and TUV Rheinland (India) Private Limited)

Dr.Mahalingam College of Engineering and Technology (Dr MCET) and TUV Rheinland India joined forces to create “ MCET TUV Rheinland Centre for Advanced Training” the most comprehensive, sophisticated, state-of-the-art facility for offering skill development training in Welding, Non-Destructive Testing and Automobile trades.The centre was inaugurated on Feb 7, 2013 and offers both technician level and engineer level training programs.

The centre has 11 Welding Booths (8 TIG and ARC and 3 MIG/MAG) to conduct training in SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, Gas welding, Gas Cutting and Gas brazing processes.

All the welding training booths has the fume extraction system and welding gas manifolds for GTAW and SMAW welding training.

The Non-Destructive Testing Lab is equipped to conduct training in Ultrasonic Testing, Magnetic Testing, Radiographic Testing, Penetrant Testing and Visual Testing methods.

Welder Training Programs

Completion of Course certificate will be issued to all the trainees after the training. Qualification test is optional. Welder Qualification can be done at additional cost.
