MCET established in the year 1998 is a private, self financing, ­co-educational institution  approved by the All India Council for Technical Education ( AICTE ) and is affiliated  to the Anna University.  The  college is located on the Coimbatore - Dindugal National Highway ( NH-209) in 29 acres of land at Pollachi. The college offers 8 Engineering and 3 Applied Science undergraduate programmes in various disciplines and 5 postgraduate programmes and 2 doctoral programmes. The institute has been awarded with ISO 9001:2000 certificate by TUV Rhineland. Also it is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation ( NBA ).

            The college has excellent infrastructure with well equipped, state-of-the-art labs, 24 mbps internet connectivity with 16 Mbps, intranet, linking more than 1500 computers with Optic Fibre Cables (OFC).

            More than 13 Value Added centres ( VAC ) are established in the MCET campus, in partnership with world famous  knowledge and skill providers.
